Award Prosthetics specializes in high level lower extremity prosthesis fittings, like very short  Above Knee, Hip Disarticulation and Hemipelvectomy prostheses.  Award Prosthetics is also keeping up with technololgy. We use silicone liners, flexible sockets and super flexible acrylic resins to form-fit the amputee exactly and comfortably. We use current, state of the art technology, such as microprocessor knees and myo-electric/microprocessor arm prostheses. Physiotherapy and gait-training can be arranged as well as accommodation at the Accent Inn Hotel next door to our modern laboratory. We believe in the principle of the informed consumer. Too often a prosthetic lab will leave you sitting in a room without even seeing another amputee.  We offer a facility that is oriented to all the needs of the amputee. VOLUNTEER NOW! YOUR HELP IS NEEDED FOR AN EXCITING EVENT! Our organization, End the Pain Project, (www.endthepainproject.org) will hold the Vancouver Premiere of a terrific feature film called "PhantomSchmertz" at Granville 1 Theatre on June 10th (early evening). 'Phantomschermz' had it's uccessful International Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival Sept. 2009. Madeleine Anderson was fortunate enough to be able to attend this event: "It is an absolutely terrific film!" The title is best understood as " Phantom Pain", which has everything to do with the focus of End The Pain Project, offering relief from phantom limb pain to amputees throughout the world. It's script was inspired by the true story of a Vancouver actor/writer & cyclist, Steven Sumner, and stars the German Superstar, Til Schweiger of 'Inglorious Basterds' fame and his daughter, Luna.
